What is LDAC?
LDAC is the leadership training course that all cadets are required to attend the summer before their senior year of college (before they start their 4th year as a cadet). Here they are trained and tested on everything they have learned throughout their ROTC career. Graduating at the end, means that the cadet is qualified to become an officer (2nd Lieutenant) upon receiving their college degree.
Where is LDAC?
LDAC is located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.

Contacting Your Cadet:
Cell phones: They will have their cell phones for the first couple days, then they will be taking away for the duration of the training. Around day 27 they will get them back. So don't expect to hear your cadet's voice for a few weeks.
Letters: The cadets CAN and LOVE to receive letters from home. They should provide you with a mailing address the first couple days they are there. Remember to get it before they get their phones taken away! We will try to post cadet addresses on our facebook page for friends and family as they become available!
Helpful tip: The cadets are very busy when they are in the field so sending your letter with a pre-addressed and stamped envelope for them to send a return letter will allow them to get mail back to you as soon as they are able.
Facebook Page: The LDAC program host a Facebook page where every day they post pictures and give the families and friends a brief schedule of what the regiments are up to.
Website: They also have a website that lists what each regiment, top cadet AFPT scores, and photos and videos of the cadets in action. You can check it out here!
